Carved serpent wall feature on glazed tile behind a restaurant bar

Themed Fabrication & Specialty Millwork

Hero pieces, built and finished by one team in Los Angeles.

Three mirror frames in wood, faux silver and faux gold finishes

Feature walls, models, bar fronts and themed builds for restaurants, hotels, cinemas, retail and studios. Technical design, CNC routing, CNC sculpting and assembly in our East LA shop, finished in our North Hollywood studio.

The same team finished for Walt Disney Imagineering, Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm. We read design intent and catch problems before they reach the floor.

Ways to work with us

From a sketch or a full set of drawings

Bring us in early to engineer it, or late to build what's already drawn. Either way, one team builds it and finishes it.

Design assist

Send intent drawings or a sketch. We engineer shop drawings, samples and a mock-up before we build.

Build to your set

Approved drawings from your architect or designer, built and finished to them.

Paid mock-up

A full-size sample of the hard part, approved before the full build and credited against it.

Seasonal and themed

Facades, set pieces and foam carving for openings, holidays and events, seasonal or permanent.

Finished, not raw

Every piece leaves finished by our scenic studio, crated and ready for your crew on site.

What comes out of it

The pieces a room is designed around

Bent plywood ribs forming a sculptural ceiling, built by Calico

Hero walls

Feature walls, carved relief and sculpted panels.

Layered terrain model lit with blue light

Models

Topography, architectural and showroom models.

Curved wood fin column on a terrazzo base

Interior fixtures

Bar fronts, banquettes and retail fixtures in specialty millwork.

Palm frond cutouts for a themed environment

Themed builds

Foam carving, facades and set pieces, seasonal or permanent.

Bespoke Objects

One-off commissions, start to finish

Brand-launch centerpieces, showroom models, awards and one-of-a-kind pieces for brands, founders and collectors. The same four stages, finished by our scenic artists, delivered as a finished object rather than a prototype.

Display Cases & Plinths

And the case to show it in

We build the case that shows off your best work, too. Display cases, vitrines, plinths and gallery platforms, built around the object and crated for delivery.
